Client: I’ve been trying to think of ways of making a better first impression on customers when I have to cold call. I was thinking of ‘Countrafying’ my look so that it gives the impression that I’ve come straight from the winery and that I’m not just another sales rep who doesn’t know what I’m talking about. What do you think?

Carolyn: First Impressions are formed within 7 seconds of your meeting and the best first impression. It is important to ask yourself beforehand: Where will I be going? Who will I be seeing? What is the dress code of the company culture? What will they be wearing?

Ruth, as your business is Country based here in the Macedon Ranges a country look would be appropriate for cold calling. I recommend something stylish from R.M. Williams in your style and colours. They have some great styles for men and women and would give the impression you have come straight from your winery and would ensure you stand out amongst the crowd.

Client: What satisfaction do you get from helping people to become better people, either by styling them to dressing better to suit them and helping them to achieve what they could actually achieve but didn’t have the self beliefs to try?

Carolyn: Thanks Jennie. I received a message from a client this morning on my voice mail, who said she is gorgeous and life is amazing. This was a woman who had limiting self beliefs about her and since seeing me her whole life and business has had massive growth. Being able to meet amazing people, men and women and to assist them with their transformations, emotionally, professionally and with their image is extremely satisfying. It is also wonderful to see whole corporations change and grow with the work I do with them. Every day is satisfying.
