To eliminate stress, you need to know what stress is. Stress affects everyone at some stage of your life and not all stress is bad for you.
Stress is the cause of a great deal of Chronic Pain to your Body. As a Therapist, I clear a great deal of this pain which is caused by your thoughts, asking yourself the wrong questions and Stress.
Stress is a natural part of the human being that keeps us alert and prepared for situations which require prompt responses. Stress plays a positive role as a performance enhancer as it facilitates the availability and release of motivational energy, therefore no one can completely escape the effects of stress.
We all seek an optimal level of stress in our day to day lives. If stress was totally absent, boredom, apathy and dissatisfaction set in and psychological disturbances can occur. Some people thrive on higher stress levels that might terrify others. For example, Pilots, Police Officers, High Level Athletes and Politicians are exposed to higher stress levels which could severely limit others via their career choices.
As your Coach, the first thing we will identify is the stressors in your life and determine how much stress you require for total health and wellbeing functioning.
Some major stress events include: Divorce, Accident, Illness and Retirement. Some less dramatic stresses are changes to eating habits, change in School or change with work responsibilities. Parenting can cause stress to a relationship, as can family and self-esteem problems.
Some things you need to ask yourself:
Do I struggle with stressful interpersonal relationships?
Is my work challenging and not satisfying?
How do I manage my time? Is there too much I need to do in the time available?
Am I the type that accepts high pressure or stressful situations passively when I really want to act assertively?
